The soil consistency is Clay loam and its pH 7,1 (slightly alcalic) which makes it perfect for olive tree cutlivation. It covers a surface of 1,20 hectars and has about 156 trees. It is under our managment since May of 2024.

Some extra informations

Cultivars
As an old olive grove it is fully covered by the regional Amfissis cultivar trees.

Recent history
This plot has been cultivated for generations by the owners family. The last few years it has been rented out to many different farmers who neglected it and as a result the trees have grown upwards making it hard to cultivate and harvest it. Under Patistis Olive Groves supervision the terrain has been slightly reformed and the trees are on the process of coming back to normality.

Future plans
What we would like to achieve in this grove is it to bring it to shape it and maintain it. Also the small farm shed could be renovated and host people that are interested in agrotourism.

Olive oil characteristics
The extra virgin olive oil that we get with early harvest from this specific plot is very characteristic. It has a medium fruity flavor with medium bitterness and spiciness. At the same time other than the characteristic variety's aromas of green tomato leaves and almond someone can distinguish aromas of green apple and allspice.
