Ftelia B

Ftelia B is close to Argalasti village and although it is one of the oldest plots it have been recently planted with olive trees.

This grove is at an altitude of 240 meters above sea level with Southwest orientation and a slight slope. The soil consistency is Clay loam and its pH is 6,9 (neutral) which makes it perfect for olive tree cutlivation. It covers a surface of 1,1 hectars and has about 350 koroneiki variety trees. It is owned by our family enough in order not remember exactly when.

Recent history

The trees were planted in October of 2025 and the soil has been covered with vicia sativa as cover crop to boost nitrogen into the soil and to control the number of unwanted weeds. Until the plantation it has been used to cultivate wild aromatics as thyme, plants which still remain in the plot, for the last 3 years and different annual crops before that.

Future plans

With the young trees giving their best to settle at this fertile land, deficient irrigation where rain fed is the usual way and by enhancing the microbiom of the soil we hope that we will be able to harvest some good quality fruits in 4 years by 2030 and have our first Koroneiki monovarietal EVOO.

Olive oil characteristics

The extra virgin olive oil that we will get with early harvest from this plot will have its own unique character. The characteristic aromas of the variety as green banana and the peppery aftertaste of Koroneiki will be part of the flavor profile finished with touches of the unique terroir with calcareous soil.
